Diversity Outreach Committee

The diversity outreach program, guided by the CELEST diversity outreach committee, carries out multiple outreach activities to involve underrepresented individuals and communities in all CELEST educational, scientific, and technological programs.

CELEST endeavors to include diverse high school, college, and postdoctoral students in CELEST laboratories and group events to teach them about how the brain works and to help them discover new career opportunities. In particular, CELEST is developing curriculum materials that will be tested and used in schools with a large number of underrepresented minority students, among other places.
