Gail Capenter's plenary talk at the 12th International Conference on Cognitive and Neural Systems
Professor Barbara Shinn-Cunningham is one of six distinguished university scientists and engineers, chosen from over 500 nominees from 150 institutions, forming the first class of the new National Security Science and Engineering Faculty Fellows (NSSEFF) Program, as announced by the Department of Defense on June 2, 2008. NSSEFF provides grants to top-tier researchers from U.S. universities to conduct long-term, unclassified, basic research in core science and engineering disciplines that underpin future DoD technology development. This basic research is crucial applications such as sensors, surveillance, information security, cyber and force protection, and power projection.
